3 Investment Pieces for Autumn

This time of year, mornings are sunny and crisp and the pavements are dusted in gold leaves, marking the arrival of autumn. It’s also the start of a new fashion season, but here I share three investment wardrobe pieces – those classic items that can be worn for many years to come –  during this transitional season.

1. Boots: Stuart Weitzman, ‘Highland’ boots in grey suede

Boots are the staple of every A/W wardrobe, and these over-the-knee ones have become a modern classic.  Pair with a midi-skirt or long-line jacket for that illusion of additional height.

2. Little black bag: Prada, saffiano leather ‘Galleria’ tote bag (medium)

Accessories are the simplest way to transition a wardrobe from one season to the next. For investment purchases, choose neutral colours that work with your wardrobe palette and you’ll be able to rotate throughout the year.

3. Lightweight wool coat: Max Mara, ‘Licia’ colour block coat (sold out)

This Italian fashion house is renowned for it’s take on the classic camel coat. Look for lightweight wool-blends for soft layering. This one is unlined, but made with double-faced virgin wool.
